Coldplay - Hymn For The Weekend (Official video)
Recently, 'Hymn For The Weekend' sung by Coldplay is in heavy rotation on the radio.
This melody is so nice.
But, for me, it is very difficult to understand and hear what they sing.
Today, I tried to make lyrics but gave up it.
The first sentence was 'Drink from me.'
Can you translate it?
I did as '私から飲みなさい'.
The next sentence was ' That we shoot across the sky'
It would be '我々は空を駆ける'
The next is 'Symphony', that is '交響曲.'
As a conclusion, my transration was 私から飲みなさい.
I cannot understand the mean of this sentence.
Oh, angels sent from up above
You know you make my world light up
When I was down, when I was hurt
You came to lift me up
Life is a drink, and love's a drug
Oh now I think I must be miles up
When I was hurt, withered, dried up
You came to rain a flood
I think the sentences in the song are not correct.
To translate songs requires not only a language skill but also a sensitivity.
